Problem:

We’re a big producer, but we wanted to sell more wine. The Bag-in-Box packaging is a highly profitable, additional option for our customers.

We used a loan filling machine from a competitor at first. But I wanted to find a BIB solution provider located closer to me. TORR was only a few hours away. I liked Tim and was impressed with his shop. We both have a mechanical background, and I feel more comfortable doing business with people I have things in common with.

Solution:

We’ve grown our business by 10% -- with mostly new customers who prefer the BIB option. We make good use of the TORR machines! TORR has been very helpful addressing any minor issues I’ve had with the equipment. Their fillers function a lot better than competitors’ equipment I have used.

We’ve also achieved more brand recognition with the nice colorful boxes we use now for packaging our Blue Moon wine.

Problem:

We wanted to find an easier, better way to provide Bag-in-Box wine to our gourmet pizza restaurant customer. We were filling the bags manually, using a semi-manual machine -- which was cumbersome, time-consuming and did not provide an airtight seal.

We researched Bag-in-Box filler equipment manufacturers, and kept coming back to Tim and TORR Industries. They seemed to have a good grasp on the process required for a business that can’t have a lot of highly specialized pieces of equipment.

Solution:

The process is faster, more precise, and we’re putting out a sounder, better product than before. Tim’s machine fills a 6-week supply of our wine in several hours. The TORR filler fills the packages perfectly, keeping oxygen from seeping in. Our customer is very happy with the process. They’re going through 20, 5-litre bags of our wine a week.

The system is fairly versatile. We’re considering the future possibility of providing our olive oil in Bag-in-Box packaging too, with the same equipment.

Problem:

As a custom crush facility, we didn’t have the ability to offer wine in bags or pouches before, and we saw that as a growing trend and important capability in our industry.

Solution:

We now are in full production with the TORR filling equipment, and are providing our customers with an alternative, innovative way to package their wine – with the bags and pouches. TORR gave us the ability to do this. We've had very good reception with customers so far.

We see this type of packaging growing and becoming even more popular in the future.

Problem:

Problem:

For the Fish Hatchery, we were constantly having to replace some plastic inserts we were using in our fish crowder, to help keep the fish separated by size. We needed someone to design a strong, stainless steel fish crowder louvre latch that would fit permanently into our operation. We needed quality and competitive pricing.

Problem:

We were using a filling machine from a company in Italy, but the lack of sales and service was stagnating our operations and business progress. So, we wanted to find a US-based and built, high- quality, reasonably priced, BIB/pouch filling machine with a quick delivery.
